Countryman Fairs’ newest event, the Country show at Harewood, arrived at the stunning Yorkshire showground over the weekend, welcoming in some glorious summer sunshine as well as thousands of eager visitors enjoying the celebratory atmosphere and all that was in store.
Visitors to this year’s newest Show, were treated to a variety of country inspired stores and entertainment, with lots on for every age and interest. With first-class entertainment over in the Realtree Main Arena from the Devil’s Horsemen and the amazing Jonathan Marshall, to the Lamb National and Ye Olde Redtail Falconry, visitors enjoyed a variety of outdoor entertainment. Other popular features such as the Folk Roots Festival, Food Festival, crafts and antiques all helped to create a fun celebratory atmosphere, and with the huge array of trade stalls selling lots of wonderful countryside goods and produce, the outdoor event ended up being very well received from a truly receptive audience.
The weekend’s event also played host to further qualifying rounds in the Chudleys Gundog Championship, BASC Clay Shooting competitions and Terrier and Lurcher events with many confirming their places at this September’s Midland Game Fair Grand Final.
Operations Director, Jerome Roberts says of the weekend’s showcase: “We are so pleased that so many people joined us at the first Country Show at Harewood this weekend. Along with the stunning weather, we were thrilled that visitors got involved in all the sporting activities, family entertainment and the celebratory atmosphere of the Show.
